About us
Welcome to AccessCoVE, the European Centre of Vocational Excellence in Accessibility funded by the EU Erasmus Plus program. AccessCoVE focuses on developing skills and knowledge in Vocational Education and Training (VET) within accessibility.
Who we are
We are a consortium of 22 partners from Greece, Sweden, Spain, and Italy. Our mission is to create an innovative and continually growing organization that will work to enhance accessibility in relation to policy and education. Our main purpose is to transform a society that is equal for all.
Our approach
Our holistic approach to accessibility starts by researching citizens’ needs and analyzing stakeholders’ priorities. This comprehensive data collection shapes the development of our VET programs and curricula.
What we offer
- VET programs: we are developing educational activities and tools tailored to accessibility.
- New professional specialities: To meet the growing demand for qualified professionals, we have created two new specialities, the Accessibility Certifier and the Accessibility Consultant.
- Collaborative efforts: We work closely with VET providers, companies, chambers, federations, higher education institutions and regional authorities.
- Long-term planning: Our well-designed governance and funding plans aim to transform AccessCoVE into a transnational hub for vocational excellence in accessibility.
Our commitment
As highlighted by EU disability strategies and laws, accessibility is a key to fostering a fair and inclusive society. AccessCoVE is dedicated to promoting knowledge and inclusion across Europe, bridging knowledge gaps, and becoming a trusted hub for accessibility expertise.
